Lania is a full-spectrum doula and multidisciplinary advocate dedicated to serving families from all walks of life with compassion snd humility. Rooted in trauma-informed practice, her work centers the needs of African American, IPOC, LGBTQIA+ and other marginalized communities. We strive to honor the autonomy and wellbeing across every reproductive journey we support.
A native of West Oakland, Lania was raised in a legacy of community service. As the daughter of a philanthropist and former Black Panther who served as a community “godmother,” she witnessed firsthand the power of self-less support — from doorstep food deliveries to providing safe space for neighbors in need. These early experiences cultivated Lania’s lifelong passion for nurturing others and uplifting wellness.
At age nine, an unforgettable encounter with Huey P. Newton further shaped her commitment to justice, community care, and transformative support. Beyond birth work, Lania brings extensive experience in case management, healthcare systems navigation, policy advocacy, and nonprofit capacity building. She has collaborated with organization leaders to design training programs, develop infrastructure, and build strategies that advance collective care and health equity.
As a graduate of the Solís Policy Institute California Policy Fellowship — Reproductive Health & Justice team, Lania blends hands-on support with systems-level insight providing a genuine experience. Her unique care approach bridges lived experience and professional advocacy, reframing how people experience reproductive care within the healthcare system.
We provide emotional, physical, and informational support across the full reproductive journey, including abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, adoption, fertility, pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum care.

Utilize a trauma-informed, harm reduction, and reproductive justice lens to deliver affirming, nonjudgmental care tailored to diverse communities, including African American, LGBTQ+, IPOC, and low-income individuals.

Offer emotional and logistical support for abortion care, including clinic accompaniment and aftercare.

Assist individuals through miscarriage and stillbirth with compassionate guidance.

Support labor, childbirth, and postpartum recovery, including newborn care and lactation support.
